Viburcol 10 Suppositories - Heel/BHI

Indications:
For infants and children in conditions of restlessness with or without fever; symptomatic treatment of common infections.

Ingredients:
Each 1.1g suppository contains: Calcarea carbonica 8X (fever with sweat; night sweats; glandular swelling) 4.4 mg; Pulsatilla 2X (chilliness even in warm room; dry cough; measles) 2.2 mg; Chamomilla 1X (whining restlessness; child wants to be carried), Belladonna 2X (redness, throbbing and burning; constricted throat), Plantago major 3X (earache; toothache; nocturnal enuresis), Dulcamara 4X (dry burning heat all over; worse in cold, wet weather), 1.1 mg each.

Dosage:
Unless otherwise prescribed, in acute disorders insert 1 suppository into the rectum once every hour until alleviation of symptoms; alleviation, 1 suppository 2 to 3 times daily. For infants (from the first day of life) up to 6 months of age, a maximum of 1 suppository twice daily.

Viburcol® was compared to acetaminophen in the symptomatic treatment of acute feverish infections in children. A total of 767 children were treated either with Viburcol® or acetaminophen. Both groups experienced equivalent and clinically significant improvement in body temperature, feeling of general well-being, severity of the acute infection and of clinical symptoms. This study confirms that the therapeutic potential of Viburcol® is comparable to that of acetaminophen.
